FORMULATION
A medicinal formula in Ayurveda is always
considered as being more than merely the sum
of its parts. It is the overall balance or
action of the formula that is important. This
is based on the Ayurvedic philosophy that
emphasizes the whole. The extracts of the
herbs or parts are combined in such a way
that their natural attributes synergistically
enhance the action of the whole formula. Thus,
an holistic approach to the treatment of a
disease syndrome.
One such drug that was formulated years ago
and based on Ayurvedic principles is Cogent
db+. The ingredients in the
formulation have had conventional
therapeutic and recorded use in Ayurvedic
medicine for disorders of the kidney, cardio-vascular
system, liver and metabolism for thousand
of years. The formulation has 2 distinctive
properties:
1. anti-diabetic, and
2. acts as a prophylactic against diabetic
complications.
Thus, this herbal drug
1. is able to clinically lower high blood
glucose levels (anti-hyperglycemic);
2. does not compromise vital organs such as
kidneys and liver; and
3. can be prescribed for diabetic complications
(therapeutic and prophylactic).
Based on evidences from the Ayurvedic literature,
the drug now has undergone extensive
scientific and clinical evaluation
for over 20 years in various medical institutions
in India and abroad. Recently the product has
undergone further clinical evaluation and marketed
under Cogent db+. This herbal
product is marketed by Cybele Herbal
Laboratories, Kerala, India. CYBELE

tradition, Cybele is manufacturing herbal
formulations in the form of tablets and capsules.

The next procedure involves mixing, drying,
granulation and packaging, done at stringent
high quality standards.
In all these processes, Cybele follows the
HACCP standards and GMP, recognized the world
over. Taking the care further is the quality
monitoring, done at the ultramodern laboratory
which is associated with a number of scientific
institutions and laboratories across the globe.
A host of advanced equipments, which include
the most modern HPLC which ascertains the
ingredient quality, spectrophotometer and
the like, ensure that Cybele medicines conform
to the accepted standards world wide, always.
To add Cybele factory is the only factory
in India to be given TGA (Therapeutic Goods
Administration) approval by the Australian
Government for good manufacturing practice.
